This year marks two special milestones for the Air Zoo: the 30th anniversary of the Air Zoo opening to the public and the 5th anniversary of the opening of the museum’s Main Campus. In celebration of these two milestones, the Air Zoo will be unveiling several new rides and experiences throughout 2009.
The first new addition to the Air Zoo’s multi-sensory experience was made public late last year when the museum upgraded one if its full-motion flight simulators. That simulator now allows visitors to fly historic World War II aircraft, including: the Zero, Wildcat, Hellcat, Corsair, Kawanishi George and P-38 Lightning. The final three simulators will be upgraded sometime in 2009.
In addition to the simulators, the Air Zoo will also be adding a new Zero Gravity experience, a Space Ball and a Magic Planet experience that will open to the public on April 1, 2009 . The Zero Gravity experience will allow visitors to briefly feel weightless as they are dropped from approximately two stories and the Space Ball will use gyroscopes to give guests a taste of how astronauts train and can be easily disoriented in space. The Magic Planet gives visitors a view of Earth and its atmosphere… and can even be updated to give real-time views of weather patterns.

At the Air Zoo, teaching your group about humanity’s quest to reach the skies is a breeze. Since we are the only museum with 3-D and 4-D theaters, full-motion flight simulators, rides and more than 50 vintage aircraft in three buildings, the only thing your group won’t want to do is go home!
A group discount of 20% is available for 20 or more people. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance and are scheduled by contacting the Air Zoo at 866.524.7966.
Anyone who is currently, or has been, a member of the United States Armed Forces (active duty, Reserve or National Guard) will receive a 20% discount on their general admission ticket when they present proof of their service. This discount is not valid with our group discount or with any other discount or promotion
