This magnificent French Renaissance features soaring stone towers, magnificent gardens, museum-quality collections (royalty, castles, and antique toys), plus one of the largest working model garden railroads in Michigan. Castle Farms offers both self-guided and guided historic tours (parties of ten or more, booked in advance). Your group will marvel at the fascinating history of this unique venue originally constructed in 1918 as a working model dairy farm. Restored to its original grandeur and now featured on both the National and Michigan Historic Registries, Castle Farms has earned its spot as one of Northern Michigan’s premier historic attractions. Tours feature a guided tram ride around the grounds. New in 2018, Castle Farms opened a wine tasting room called 1918 Cellars featuring our own vintages of delicious red, white, and sparkling wine and cider.

Castle Farms is proud to announce our new package: wine tasting from our very own 1918 Cellars. For $6 per person, your group can taste our 3 most popular vintages. For $8 per person, your group receives 5 different tastes. Pair your tasting with a tour and/or a private catered meal. We recommend planning 1 hour for this additional experience.
