The River Raisin Wine Trail offers you a unique taste of local wines and cuisine, and takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in Southeast Michigan.
Lenawee's rich history has been preserved in many ways throughout the county, presenting history lovers with wonderful opportunities to learn more about the past. Several historical museums, including the Lenawee County Historical Museum, The Thompson House Museum and Gardens, The Tecumseh Museum, and the Hudson Museum, feature relics, antiques, clothing and photographs of the area, as well as unique events and exhibitions.
View many historical homes and buildings on the campus of Siena Heights University and the Adrian Dominican Sisters, as well as Adrian College. Head to the Croswell Opera House in downtown Adrian, built in 1866. Then take a peaceful self–guided walking tour to view authentic 19th century architecture in the Historic District.
Take a drive out to the Irish Hills to view historic architecture, and step back the stagecoach era at the Brick Walker Tavern historical complex. Feel the roar of the engines at a NASCAR race held at Michigan International Speedway. A short drive down US 12 will bring you to St. Joseph's Shrine, known for its architecture and the peaceful Stations of the Cross path.
